Midlife is no joke.
You might be reading this at 3 or 4 am. That’s because you’ve got far too many things on your mind; your kids, parents, spouse, all your responsibilities,…but the worst part by far is the gnawing sense that you’re not doing any of it right.
Growing up you were led to believe you could ‘have it all,’ but even with the house, the marriage, the kids….life has been way more complicated and effortful than you expected. It doesn’t feel like you thought it would and deep down you worry that, shhhhhh ……you’re a failure.
If that’s not enough you’re constantly judging yourself on like 20 different things – how you look, your career or lack of a career, whether your kids are ‘achieving’, whether your marriage is sexy enough; but here’s the problem – no matter how much you do, YOU’RE ALWAYS COMING UP SHORT – and feeling like something is missing in your life.
It’s. Exhausting.
You just want some goddamn peace. Life shouldn’t be this hard, right?
Oh, do I hear you.
At around age 46, I knew something was off, yet I just kept plugging along taking care of everyone and everything and not really paying attention to what was going on inside of me.
Guess how that turned out?
I left my house in an ambulance one morning leaving my 3 kids standing on the front porch.
Panic attack.
This is definitely NOT something I want you to experience in your life.
Self-help books, podcasts and commiserating with friends helped some, but I dreamed of having an expert to guide me on not only how to navigate these years simply, but to come out BETTER and HAPPIER than I was before.
